Outreach ActivitiesI am actively involved with Chris Roman, Al Wiman from St. Louis Science center's Nanotechnology Program. My students and I, together with Professor Lan Yang from Electrical Engineering visit the science center several times a year and present fun topics related to nanotechnology at Center Stage. Please see some pictures taken from our recent visit on May 17, 2007. I am involved with "Moving and Shaking, An Introduction to Engineering", a workshop for middle-schoolers offered in the fall in partnership with the St. Louis area Gifted Resource Council http://labs.seas.wustl.edu/bme/sakiyama/GRC_learning_lab.html I am involved with an annual science program "nanoscale science in everyday life" held in St. Louis Science Center led by Professor Phil Fraundorf from UMSL http://newton.umsl.edu/~run/me.html I am also involved with the complex fluids REU program from 2006--2009. Talented undergraduates, please check out our web site and apply for next year! http://www.me.wustl.edu/REU/complex_fluids.html Research GroupsNano-alliance in Missouri area: http://newton.umsl.edu/~run/mona/default.htm Fluid dynamics group at Harvard: http://www.deas.harvard.edu/fluidsgroup/ Prof. Gareth McKinley's Lab at MIT: Harvard soft condensed matter group: http://www.deas.harvard.edu/projects/weitzlab/ Washington University In St. LouisWashington University Homepage Washington University Mechanical Engineering Dept.
