OLD BUSINESS

·        Minutes from last meeting – Minutes were accepted with minor corrections.

·        Treasurer’s Report – This year’s budget will require the need for reserve funds. Looking for additional sources of income. Ideas are most welcome. Projected income assumes another trivia night.

·        Region V Representative – Requests to AIAA National for CAT III funds for the local section have been made. Leadership conference provided good ideas for motivation, lessons-learned. Contact Larry Brase or Karen Copper by email for copies of their meeting notes

·        Committee Reports

Arrangements – Walt Reschke (no report)

Attendance – Andrew Cary

Examination of cash flow for section events over the past year shows that we did not, in fact, suffer losses due to people not showing up for events they had made reservations for. Payroll deduction for AIAA event reservations seems feasible. Similar to what is done with the Leadership Association. However, we need to clarify whether deductions can be made per meeting, and how easily can it be done for non-AIAA members.

The event was a success. Congratulations to Karen Copper for a great job. 113 attended. Very nearly broke even. Expenses for the Omni-max will be split 25/75 between AIAA and the Boeing Leadership Association. Expecting CAT III funding from National to defray expenses.
